The Kansas City Royals aren’t particularly favored to fight for the AL Central division.
In all fairness, they also aren’t expected to fight for a postseason spot just yet: there are just too many questions regarding their pitching staff to think about that potential scenario.
Their uniform, however, is one of the most visually attractive in baseball.
If they are going to lose a lot, might as well do it in style.
The organization will wear powder blue during Opening Day this season, and it makes for a good choice.
“The Royals will wear full powder blue uniforms on Opening Day this year, the team announced,” Fox Sports MLB tweeted.

We have to say that Bobby Witt Jr. looks good in powder blue.
The Royals have four available uniforms: white, gray, royal blue, and powder blue.
The powder blue one gives them a vintage look that makes us go back to the George Brett days in the seventies, eighties, and nineties.
Hopefully, the team can take a step forward this season after finishing 2022 with a disappointing 65-97 record.
They were last in the AL Central.
They just re-signed Zack Greinke and recently brought in reliever Aroldis Chapman, and they do have Witt (who went 20-30 in his debut season), Vinnie Pasquantino, Salvador Perez, MJ Melendez, and others.
Still, they need their young pitchers to step up: Daniel Lynch, Jackson Kowar, Kris Bubic, and Carlos Hernandez need to help Greinke and Brady Singer.
If their hurlers can develop correctly, perhaps they can contend in a year or two.
