The Boston Red Sox are an undeniably storied franchise, with each generation of fans seeing more than their fair share of great teams and legendary players.
Even in the midst of the curse, Boston fans were treated to some great moments.
But over the last decade, the team has experienced a bit of a rollercoaster, with some teams proving to be worthy of a World Series title, while other teams have ultimately failed to reach the postseason.
In 2012, an ugly trend started for the Red Sox.

Boston finished last in 2014 and 2015 and later returned to the cellar in 2020 and again in 2022.
Still, the team has won four World Series titles since 2004, but this is quite an unfortunate feat.
Needless to say, things have been very hit-or-miss with the Red Sox over the last decade.

They completed another worst-to-first turnaround in 2016, but it didn’t end with a World Series title like their 2013 run did.
Boston was back in the World Series in 2018 and took care of the Los Angeles Dodgers, beating them in five games.
However, they haven’t been back since.
Once again, they sandwiched a winning season in between two last-place finishes.
That was 2021, and that year, they advanced to the ALCS.
However, they sit in a less than desirable position as of now, as the AL East is full of competition.
