Spring training starts, officially, in about a week when most MLB teams start receiving pitchers and catchers in their respective camps.
We can feel it: baseball is most certainly back!
We have all waited long enough, but the time has come.
All teams will start hosting their players in training camps next week, but human beings are not the only ones on the travel list.
“Headed to Fenway South: 20,400 baseballs, 1,100 bats, 200 batting gloves, 200 batting helmets, 320 Batting Practice tops, 160 white game jerseys, 300 pairs of pants, 400 t-shirts, 400 pairs of socks, 20 cases of bubble gum, 60 cases of sunflower seeds,” the Boston Red Sox tweeted.
The truck with the baseball equipment to start spring training is also on its way!
The organization even uploaded a picture of it.

When we were all kids, we fantasized about playing baseball with the whole equipment: bats, batting gloves, gloves, a uniform, mitt, caps, socks, and the helmet while chewing bubble gum.
It’s all part of the experience: each team has to make sure every player has everything he needs in order to jump to the field and start getting ready for the season.
It’s that time of the year.
The Red Sox will need to be ready and have their players in top condition.
They were one of the most notorious disappointments last year, when they finished with a 78-84 record.
Even the Baltimore Orioles finished higher in the standings: Boston was last.
For a team that made it all the way to the Championship Series in 2021, it was quite shocking.
They lost Xander Bogaerts and JD Martinez, but were able to extend Rafael Devers and bring in some talented hitters and pitchers.
Let’s see what the 2023 campaign has in store for the Sox.
