The Tampa Bay Rays have always been a team that operates in a small market.
With limited funds, the Rays typically do not go out of their way to try and sign high-profile free agents or make blockbuster trades.
Instead, Tampa Bay builds from within and then trades their assets to find more young talent.
With that being said, the Rays appear to be openly shopping some of their current players.
According to MLB Network insider Jon Morosi, the Rays are currently fielding offers for players such as Ji-Man Choi, Ryan Yarbrough, Yonny Chirinos, and Shawn Armstrong among several others.

Rays Listening To Offers For Several Players
If there’s one thing that everybody around Major League Baseball has learned over the years, it’s that making trades with the Rays can be risky.
They always seem to work out in the Rays’ favor.
So, with several players on the trading block, the Rays could potentially look to bring back some top talent from opposing teams, should they be able to find any takers for the players listed.
Regardless of what happens, the Rays are usually able to bring back some talented players that are Major League ready.
The most recent example would be trading Austin Meadows to the Detroit Tigers and getting Isaac Paredes in return.
Acquiring Randy Arozarena is also a prime example of how the Rays acquire their talent.
But based on recent history, the club should be able to find some solid talent in return for the names listed above should they make any trades.
