The mission of the 2022 Los Angeles Rams is clear: defend the Super Bowl title they won last season.
It will be a tall order because they must go through division rivals in the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.
Also on their schedule are the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers.
They will also face AFC powerhouses like the Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, and Denver Broncos.
If that roster of opponents isn’t tough enough, they will have to open the season against the Buffalo Bills.
The perennial AFC contenders are predicted to be the AFC’s representative in Super Bowl LVII.
Therefore, the opening match for 2022 could be a preview of the big game.
Luckily for the Rams, their key players are ready to go against Buffalo.
The #Rams’ first injury report for Thursday night’s opener lists just one player: WR Van Jefferson (DNP-knee).
QB Matthew Stafford, RBs Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. and CB Jalen Ramsey — who all missed time in camp — are healthy and good to go against the #Bills.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero tweeted, “The #Rams’ first injury report for Thursday night’s opener lists just one player: WR Van Jefferson (DNP-knee). In other words, the Rams will be at full strength against the Bills, and that’s a scary thought.
Getting The Total Package On Both Sides
With Jefferson, Akers, and Henderson healthy, Stafford can attack the Bills’ defense in multiple ways.
They must add wrinkles to their scheme because new Bills linebacker Von Miller knows their system.
Having more targets than just reigning Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp gives them limitless options on offense.
Likewise, Ramsey is important in slowing down Buffalo’s passing game.
He will likely face wideout Stefon Diggs who had another solid season last year.
Neutralizing Diggs will lower the Bills’ scoring chances.
If the game remains close, the Rams may have a chance to complete a close victory.
