The Detroit Pistons are really hoping the 2022-23 season is a return to glory for them.
It’s been a long (very long) time but the Pistons are trying to get back in playoff contention.
That might be a long shot but they have made some recent acquisitions and changes recently that give them a better chance.

Just one of the changes they’re making revolves around their jersey.
The Pistons announced the return of their iconic teal jersey as the Classic Edition uniforms for the upcoming season.
This is the first time the teal jerseys have been on the court since 1996-2001.
It’s been a long time but maybe this is the missing piece that will make the team more confident and more capable.
Pistons Coming Back
Back in the day, these teal jerseys were actually hated by many fans, who thought they looked hokey and cheesy.
That time in the team’s history was also divisive, with Grant Hill and Jerry Stackhouse attempting to surpass the success seen by the Bad Boy era.
However, as time has gone by, fans have looked back at the teal jerseys with fondness and nostalgia.
Especially since the team is far, far worse than it was back then.
There are signs of life on this Detroit team, though: Cade Cunningham ended up being one of the best rookies of last year and Jaden Ivey has a lot of people excited for what’s to come.
But they have a long way to go before they are even close to the power of the late 90s and early 2000s.
The last few years have been a time of disappointment and some change for the Pistons.
Will these new jerseys bring more change and even some success?
