It is clear that the Detroit Pistons are probably not going to make the playoffs this season.
The team is currently 14th in the East with an 8-22 record and they just lost their lead star, Cade Cunningham, for the rest of the season.
That means that their hopes were dashed even more when Cunningham was forced to the sidelines.

The Pistons are looking to get better and that means they might need to commit to a few trades, even some big ones.
That is why they are open to the idea of sending away Saddiq Bey, a powerful small forward who had made a mark on Detroit.
But they aren’t giving him up for anything: the Pistons want a first-round pick for Bey.
Now the question is this: will they get what they are asking for?
Buying Bey
Many teams would be happy to land Bey and all that he can bring to a new squad.
Bey is putting up 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 2022-23, with a field goal percentage of 40.1%.
He’s become a major part of Detroit’s offensive side.
And he could get even better in the years ahead, seeing as he’s just 23 years old.
But the asking price for Bey is going to be tough for other franchises because a first-round pick is pretty important.
One immediately thinks of the Los Angeles Lakers, who have been battling with the prospect of trading away their first-round picks for help on the roster lately.
Will they try to get into the running to get Bey?
There are truly a number of teams who would be smart to haggle for Bey and his skills.
