The World Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Houston Astros is tied at two games apiece heading into tonight’s Game 5.
The Phillies were no-hit in Game 4 and are looking for ways to get the bats going again.
But perhaps a fashion statement would help a little bit.
Today, it was announced that the Phillies would be wearing their iconic powder blue alternate uniforms for Game 5.
The announcement was made by the Phillies on Twitter, and the tweet featured a graphic that showed several Phillies stars wearing their powder blue alternate uniforms.
Tonight, they’ll bust out the baby blues in hopes that it may gave them an edge.

Phils Bring Back Powder Blues
These are some beautiful uniforms.
They haven’t been worn yet by the Phillies at all this postseason.
During the regular season, they usually have them around as an alternate throwback uniform.
After being no-hit last night, perhaps a change in uniform will help get them going again as they try to take a 3-2 series lead back to Houston for Game 6 on Saturday.
The uniforms feature more of a maroon red on the hats, helmets, and Philadelphia logo.
As a way to celebrate the change in uniforms for Game 5, the Phillies changed their logo on Twitter from a bright red to a maroon red.
It’s a nice touch to generate excitement around the fanbase for the return of the powder blue uniforms.
The Phillies will send Noah Syndergaard to the mound in hopes of righting the ship, while the Astros will counter with Justin Verlander.
