Every team in the NBA made a big deal out of the release of the 2022-23 schedule but none did it better than the New Orleans Pelicans.
Wednesday was a huge deal for every team and every player in the association because it was then that the NBA revealed every matchup for the year ahead.
Every fan was paying close attention so they could see who their teams would take on – and when.

The Pelicans did things a bit differently.
They released a video of General Manager David Griffin playing a beautiful song on the piano mid-court as a list of major games was shown on screen.
It was inventive, unique, humorous, and even featured a cameo from Pels superstar Zion Williamson.
What a great idea – and what a way to get the fanbase fired up about the season ahead.
Pelicans’ Promise
Those who love the Pelicans have every right to be elated and excited for the 2022-23 season.
The team showed an awful lot of promise in the previous season, picking themselves up, getting themselves back on track, and having a strong regular season that led to an impressive showing in the first part of the playoffs.
They did all of this without Williamson, by the way.
But now Williamson is set to return to the court after more than a year away.
Make no mistake: this would be a team to watch even without Williamson, as they proved last season.
But with the big man back on board, the excitement around this team reaches a whole other level.
Having Griffin play the piano at center court was a fabulous idea because there is a strong chance the Pelicans will make incredible music this season.
