So far this season, Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans has played in 29 of a possible 37 games for his team.
He has missed out on two games because of a lower back and right hip contusion, three most because of problems with his right foot, and three more due to health and safety protocols.
When he has played, he’s been absolutely dynamite, averaging 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists a game while going 60.8% from the field.
He exited Monday night’s loss against the Philadelphia 76ers in the third quarter because of a right hamstring injury.

Now we are hearing some inside reporting about how bad this injury may be.
NBA analyst Brandon Robinson is reporting that Williamson will be out for Wednesday’s game against the Houston Rockets.
His current timetable for returning is unclear right now.
Apparently, some inside the Pelicans camp are afraid that he could be off the court for a month.
What does this mean for the Pelicans?
It’s not great news, that’s for sure.
Life Without Williamson
The Pelicans have been without Brandon Ingram for most of the season, as he has only appeared in 15 games because of a left toe contusion.
The Pelicans have gotten by without Williamson before.
They actually ended up thriving last season despite him sitting the entire year out.
But if Williamson is out for a long period, Ingram’s absence will be felt even more.
The team is currently the third-best in the West and was sitting at the top of the standings just a couple of weeks ago.
Chances of them slipping down further in the standings without both Williamson and Ingram are high.
So right now all fans are waiting on an official word from the team to see what happens next.
