The Carolina Panthers have been incredibly active during the NFL offseason thus far.
After trading for the number one overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Panthers have set themselves up to acquire a new franchise quarterback.
While there has been league-wide speculation about who that pick will be, the Panthers have slightly tipped their hand.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Panthers met with Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud ahead of his Pro Day.

Stroud has been routinely touted as a top draft option in a relatively shallow quarterback class.
He joins Bryce Young, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson as a top-four option at the position.
Quarterback is one of, if not the most valued position across the league.
By having a great quarterback, teams have that much more of an opportunity to not only make the playoffs but to make a deep run.
The Panthers have done everything possible to orchestrate a smooth transition from the NCAA to the NFL.
Thus far, they have added Adam Thielen, Hayden Hurst, and Miles Sanders, just to name a few players.
It appears that they aren’t done, as the Panthers have been rumored to be in the market for other offensive free agents.
Ultimately, until Stroud is officially a member of the Panthers, all of this is speculative.
However, between their meetings and the Panthers’ aggressive move to the top spot in the upcoming draft, they have their sights on drafting a quarterback.
Will a new quarterback solve the Panthers’ woes, resulting in a playoff spot?
