Down 4-0 to the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 2 of the NLCS, the San Diego Padres were in danger of falling into a daunting 2-0 hole before the series shifted to Citizens Bank Park.
But in the second inning, San Diego began to chip away, scoring two runs to get back into the game.
From then on, the Padres never looked back, scoring five in the bottom of the fifth and one in the bottom of the seventh en-route to an 8-5 win to draw even in the series.
And the Friars had everybody contributing, as each run was scored by a different player.

Padres Firing On All Cylinders
The Padres’ comeback in Game 2 was a complete team effort.
After trailing early, the Padres’ bats finally woke up.
They had been quieted in their Game 1 loss on Tuesday.
But they came to life in Game 2, and everybody in the lineup contributed in their come-from-behind win.
Now, instead of going to Philadelphia down 2-0, the Padres managed to salvage a game and build a little momentum for Game 3 on Friday night, a game in which they’ll have Joe Musgrove on the mound and an opportunity to go up 2-1 in the series.
The Padres have been a fun underdog story, very similarly to the Phillies.
They’ve pulled everything together at just the right time, and now everybody on the team is doing their part.
The Padres are officially firing on all cylinders and have a chance to build off of the momentum from their Game 2 win.
Today is a travel day, but the next three games will take place over the weekend in Philadelphia.
Games 6 and 7, if necessary, will be back in San Diego.
