The Indiana Pacers were already looking at a very rough season in 2022-23.
There is no doubt that the team is a long way off from being playoff contenders and fans are prepared for another tough year with a very embarrassing win-loss record.
Still, few were expecting the new season to start off so poorly.

Literally just hours before the first game tipped off, Pacers star Myles Turner was injured after landing on a ball boy’s foot during pregame warmups.
You can’t make this stuff up.
The tweak of his ankle, which is said to not be serious, caused Turner to miss the team’s first game of the year.
Not surprisingly, the team then lost that match to the Washington Wizards.
Turner’s Trade Rumors
Turner should be back with the Pacers soon but it remains to be seen how much longer he will be living in Indiana.
His name has been attached to trade rumors for a long time now.
The Los Angeles Lakers are allegedly very attracted to the idea of landing Turner but the Pacers won’t give him away for just any package.
They, like many other teams in the league, want LA’s future first-round draft picks.
Turner is a great shot blocker who is terrific at spacing the floor.
The player is in the last year of his contract and will be a free agent with a lot of interest from other teams in the summer.
However, after the rough start for both the Pacers and Lakers, there is a chance that trade talks resume long before that.
Turner will be back with the Pacers soon and then will certainly be moving on to another team not long after that.
It’s not really a matter of if, but when.
