It’s been a challenging few years for the Indiana Pacers, with the team written off again and again.
While they have definitely been far from true playoff contenders, there is obviously some fight in the team and special young players looking to make something worthwhile in Indiana.
One of the team’s biggest stars is Myles Turner, the center who is currently putting up 17 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists a night, some of the best numbers of his career.
Turner has been attached to dozens of trade rumors for ages now and it has seemed like his departure from the Pacers was a foregone conclusion.
But maybe that’s not true.
Knicks, Raptors, and Clippers have shown interest in acquiring Myles Turner if him and the Pacers do not sign an extension per @YahooSports @JakeLFischer

In a new piece for Yahoo Sports, Jake Fischer makes it clear that Turner may in fact remain in Indiana for the foreseeable future.
Fischer said that Turner and his management are having “fluid extension conversations” and added that “the trade chatter surrounding Turner has indeed seemed to cool.”
However, he added that if the talks between the Pacers and Turner fall apart and a trade does occur, the New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, and Los Angeles Clippers have shown interest in acquiring Turner.
Turner To A New Team?
Of those teams, the Knicks would likely have the most to offer Indiana as they have a bunch of first-round draft picks that they can send.
The Clippers could also be a legitimate suitor, according to Fischer.
It sounds like those who expect to have Turner leave the Pacers for another team shouldn’t hold their breath because the team and the player are working together to create a hefty payday.
You can’t blame either side for wanting to work together: Turner has gotten better and, consequentially, the Pacers have too.
They are now the 7th team in the East with a 23-19 record.
