The Baltimore Orioles are continuing to prove how real they are.
Last season, they seemed like a fun story of a young team that played their way into an over .500 record.
But, this year they have proven to be one of the best teams in the sport.
They have a great mixture of youth and veterans that feed off each other.
While many people may not believe it, this Orioles team is one of the best in baseball.
They are 86-51 on the year, which is the top record in the American League.
Also, it is the second-best record in baseball behind the Atlanta Braves.
MLB released its most recent power rankings.
On that list, they have the Orioles second behind only the aforementioned Braves.

It is hard to argue with the success of the Orioles.
They may not have the best roster in baseball but they play well together.
One player who has changed the fortune of this franchise is catcher Adley Rutschman.
Ever since he was called up by Baltimore last season, all they have done is win.
According to Zach Bollinger, the Orioles are 152-106 since calling up Rutschman.
Adley Rutschman has been in the MLB for 258 games.
In the 258 games prior to Adley being called up the Orioles were 91-167.

He has been a difference-maker both behind the plate and with his bat.
The Orioles have been bad for so many years that all those top draft picks are starting to pay off.
They have done a good job of drafting and developing and there are more stud prospects on the way.
Not only are the Orioles the best team in the AL this year, but they are here to stay.
