The Denver Nuggets are currently the best team in the NBA Western Conference with a record of 15-13.
While it is true that the completion in the West is rough (the Memphis Grizzlies technically have the exact same record), there is no doubt that the Nuggets have come to play in 2022-23.
Still, despite their success, there are some saying that Denver is not the real deal and that their victories don’t mean as much as they seem.
“The Nuggets aren’t contenders.”

To those people, Nuggets fans wish to point out that their team has beaten the Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, and Los Angeles Clippers during the last 10 games.
Those are some tough teams and yet the Nuggets have overcome and scored big wins against them all.
Therefore, it’s clear that the Nuggets really are as powerful and promising as fans say.
Now the question is just how far can they go.
Led by their powerhouse MVP Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets have both strong offense and defense as well as a lot of youth and energy.
For the last few seasons, it’s felt like Jokic was an island in the middle of the team, doing all the hard work.
But now there are other guys such as the recovered Jamal Murray, Bruce Brown, Aaron Gordon, Bones Hyland, and more.
Together, they make the Nuggets look and act like legitimate Finals contenders.
The season is long and there is still time for a number of other teams to defeat them and take the top spot but it’s becoming clear that the Nuggets have a great chance at a strong postseason.
