The NFL is the largest, and most watched professional sports league in the world.
When they make decisions, especially decisions of great magnitude, there is a ripple effect that is quite literally echoed across the world.
In consideration of what to do in the aftermath of the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills game that was suspended on Monday, their decision will carry great weight and magnitude, especially considering how much the outcome of this game means to both teams.
There's no update on what the NFL will do with the Bills-Bengals game, NFL execs say. They'll need to make a decision "in the coming days," but no conclusion has been reached.

As of this morning (January 5), there have not been any updates on what the NFL will do with the Bills-Bengals game.
There have been a few ideas that have been thrown out as to what they should do, especially on social media.
With no official word on how to proceed, we’re not necessarily going to speculate our opinion on this topic either, but would like to discuss the ramifications of a few decisions.
If the NFL decides to call this game a tie, the Bills would sit at a record of 12-3-1, and the Bengals 11-4-1.
Not only would a tie be catastrophic for playoff seeding for both teams, but this would automatically vault the Kansas City Chiefs into first place in the AFC.
A win on Sunday would guarantee the Chiefs have a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
If the NFL decides to push this game back, however, the Bengals and Bills would know more information, like if one of them loses this week, and the Chiefs win.
Again, this would keep the Chiefs in first, and not allow either team to vault them in the standings.
