In Week 2 of the 2022 NFL preseason, the Carolina Panthers will face the New England Patriots at 7 p.m. ET.
The Panthers have named Baker Mayfield as their starter for Week 1 of the regular season.
The former Oklahoma standout will use the tune-ups to know his receivers better and to develop chemistry with his offensive line.
Meanwhile, quarterback Mac Jones is hoping to lead the Patriots to another playoff berth in as many seasons.
Carolina’s offense with Mayfield, Robbie Anderson, DJ Moore, and Christian McCaffrey will be tested by New England’s defense.
The second preseason game at 8 p.m. ET will feature the New Orleans Saints and the Green Bay Packers.
Packers quarterback and reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is in hot water recently by saying that their young receivers should play better.
On the other hand, the Saints have revamped both sides of the ball and are poised to compete in the NFC this season.
Main Event This Friday
Finally, the main game at 10 p.m. ET will pit the Houston Texans and the Los Angeles Rams.
The Texans will be banking on the tandem of Davis Mills and Brandin Cooks to help them throughout the season.
Meanwhile, the Rams have a legitimate shot of defending the Super Bowl championship, especially after adding Allen Robinson on offense and Bobby Wagner on defense.
