Now more than ever, the NFL has become a quarterback’s league.
The rules favor high-octane offense and shootouts, with good-old defensive-minded or run-heavy teams looking more like a thing of the past nowadays.
Moreover, it seems like quarterbacks are taking the reins of the offense way younger and sooner today than back in the day, with a new youth movement of QBs looking ready to dominate the NFL for the next decade.
If you don’t take our word for it, just take a look at the latest tweet by the NFL itself.
They pointed out the age of the eight quarterbacks whose teams are still in contention, and it made us all feel quite old:
Ages of the 8 remaining QBs in the #NFLPlayoffs:
– Trevor Lawrence: 23
– Brock Purdy: 23
– Jalen Hurts: 24
– Daniel Jones: 25
– Joe Burrow: 26
– Josh Allen: 26
– Patrick Mahomes: 27
– Dak Prescott: 29The next generation has arrived.

Trevor Lawrence and Brock Purdy are both 23 years old, while Jalen Hurts is 24.
Daniel Jones (25), Joe Burrow (26), Josh Allen (26), Patrick Mahomes (27), and Dak Prescott (29) round up the playoff pool.
And that’s without mentioning Tua Tagovailoa (24), Justin Herbert (24), Lamar Jackson (26), Justin Fields (23), and Kyler Murray (25), or some of the prospects expected to be taken in the next Draft such as Bryce Young (21) and Will Levis (23).
This new generation of dual-threat quarterbacks has taken the league by storm since they made it to the league, and the old generation now seems like a thing of the past.
Tom Brady (45) and Aaron Rodgers (39) are reportedly contemplating retiring, and we’ve already bid farewell to Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, and Philip Rivers.
The game keeps evolving, and so do the players, and it’s clear that the league is in very good hands for years to come.
