This Sunday will likely be one of the most emotional days in the NFL this season.
After Damar Hamlin‘s injury on Monday, many players and fans around the league have wondered how the league will respond, particularly when it comes to this week’s slate of games.
We now have their response and guidance on how teams can go about honoring Hamlin this week.
All players throughout the league will have the option to wear black Nike t-shirts displaying "Love for Damar 3."
All teams will also be allowed to paint "3" on the field in support of Damar Hamlin.

If players choose, they will be able to wear t-shirts in honor of Hamlin this week, and home teams will have the option to paint his number on their field as well.
This announcement comes after Hamlin addressed his team this morning over FaceTime, and was able to speak after being on a ventilator for nearly four days.
The Bills have a home game this week, and will most likely be leading the charge with honoring Hamlin.
It is unknown when Hamlin will be cleared to fly and return to Buffalo, but the team is certainly energized and positive about his miraculous improvement.
On Sunday, the Bills will be facing the New England Patriots, who are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win against the Bills.
Buffalo should be an electrifying fan experience on Sunday, both filled with the excitement of the playoffs and the hope of Hamlin’s recovery riding high.
Will the Patriots be able to overcome all of these obstacles in Buffalo on Sunday?
If they don’t make the playoffs this season, it would be just the fourth time that they missed the playoffs in the past 20 seasons.
