The NFL has helped create a strong bond between fathers and sons.
Watching the game together on Sunday is an activity that they will cherish forever.
They share the same emotions about the game depending on how their team is doing.
That’s how fathers pass to their sons the allegiance to their beloved team.
For some, they even pass their talent to play football, giving rise to second-generation players.
The league took note of these father-son tandems through this Twitter thread.

— NFL (@NFL) June 19, 2022
The post reads, “Like father, like son. Happy #FathersDay!” and went on to list players who fall under this heartwarming category.
First on the list are Asante Samuel and Asante Samuel Jr., who currently plays for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Also included are Antoine Winfield Sr. and Antoine Winfield Jr., who is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
There’s also Michael Pittman Sr. and Jr., Randy Moss and Thaddeus Moss, Shawn and Van Jefferson, and Ed and Christian McCaffrey.
Thaddeus Moss plays for the Cincinnati Bengals while Michael Pittman Jr. is a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts.
Christian McCaffrey is the top running back for the Carolina Panthers.
More Father Son-Tandems In The NFL
It’s no surprise that father-son tandems are aplenty.
After all, who else would inherit the genes of those who played the game before?
That’s why the list continues with Bobby and Marlon Humphrey, and Craig and Cameron Heyward.
There’s also Devin Bush Sr. and Jr. and Patrick Surtain and Patrick Surtain II.
Indeed, the NFL is a family affair on and off the field.
It brings people together, especially athletes who share surnames and make a living playing professional football.
