The Brooklyn Nets are putting the finishing touches on their roster for the 2022-23 NBA season.
Obviously, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will remain the biggest parts of the team.
And while all of the focus has been on those two for the last several months, there are other pieces of this puzzle, including a few new players.

The Nets posted two images of their new recruits on Twitter: Markieff Morris and Yuta Watanabe.
Both of these guys might not be on your radar but they will play pivotal parts in moving the team forward and putting a troubled offseason behind them.
New Faces, New Promise
Watanabe has played in 121 games across four seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors.
His average is just 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 12 minutes per game.
Watanabe has also been a part of the NBA G League with 55 starts among the Memphis Hustle and Raptors 905, shooting 47.8% from the field and 34.8% from beyond the three-point line.
Additionally, he played for the Japanese national team as well and led that team in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
As for Morris, he has been around the league for a while and is known for his size and defensive might.
The plan is for these two players to improve both sides of the court for the Nets, beefing up both offense and defense and allowing other players – such as Durant and Irving – to breathe a little easier.
The Nets really haven’t done a lot of huge things during the summer but they don’t think they need to.
If the team remains healthy – and happy – it could finally deliver on its promises.
