The trouble behind the scenes with the Brooklyn Nets seems to never stop.
After a bad start to the season and a poor 2-5 record, the team just fired head coach Steve Nash.
Jacque Vaughn will be the acting head coach for the foreseeable future but you can bet that the Nets are looking hard for a full-time replacement to fill Nash’s shoes.
Jacque Vaughn is the acting head coach tonight but expect the Nets to inquire with suspended Celtics coach Ime Udoka, Quin Snyder, among others. Boston will let Udoka leave for another job.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets are expected to inquire about former Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder and, surprisingly, suspended Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka about taking the job.
Snyder’s inclusion isn’t a shock as he’s a great coach with a lot of talent.
But the idea of Udoka getting a new job shortly after such a bombshell revelation about him is turning some heads and raising some eyebrows.
Udoka On Deck?
Make no mistake: Udoka is a wonderful coach and he took his Celtics to the NBA Finals in his first year.
But his fall from grace was startling, troubling, and major.
He was suspended for a whole year because of a consensual intimate relationship with a female staffer.
Inside reporting says that the Celtics are willing to let Udoka leave if he finds another job.
The Nets obviously don’t care about the baggage that would come with Udoka – in fact, they are used to baggage, controversy, and bad headlines.
If you judge Udoka solely on his talents, hiring him makes a lot of sense – still, it’s surprising to see him possibly rebounding into a new job so soon.
As for Snyder, he will likely find another position in the NBA shortly even if the Nets pass him by.
He did great work for the Jazz but his team always fell short and he knew he had to go if Utah wanted to shake things up and achieve greatness.
The Nets will need to get to work ASAP to find their new head coach – the season isn’t slowing down and they have a lot of ground to make up.
