There’s a new rivalry brewing in the NBA.
Last night, the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers matched up for the first time since completing the trade that sent James Harden to Philly and Ben Simmons over to Brooklyn.
The Nets won the game by a final score of 129-100.
Despite them being far apart in the Eastern Conference Standings, the teams appear to be quite evenly matched.
But before the game, during warmups, there was some tension already brewing between the two teams, as it appeared that a couple former teammates had some hard feelings for each other, and that there was some unresolved resentment.
Kevin Durant and James Harden didn’t acknowledge each other in warmups. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid didn’t either.
Give me seven games, please.

A Sign Of Things To Come
This could turn out to be one of the best rivalries in the NBA soon.
The now former teammates from each side really do seem to hate each other after everything that has gone down.
If Harden and Kevin Durant didn’t acknowledge each other during warmups and Simmons and Joel Embiid didn’t either, there’s definitely some beef happening between them.
And it’s perfect timing for it too.
These two squads are evenly matched, and the playoffs are coming up soon.
A seven-game series between these two teams seems to be a formality.
The teams clearly do not like each other, and nothing makes for a better rivalry than a little beef between the two teams involved.
So, now it’s go-time.
It’s the Nets and the 76ers, battling it out in the Eastern Conference, and though they may be well apart in the standings, they sure aren’t playing like they are.
The Nets seem to have a chip on their shoulder being the underdogs here, and now the entire basketball world wants a playoff series between them and the Sixers.
