Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson is one of the best players to ever enter the NBA and an undeniable icon for many players and fans.
He’s easily one of the most talented and special guys to ever play the game.

The NBA celebrated Iverson on Tuesday, wishing him a happy 47th birthday.
They also made sure to mention all of AI’s career highlights: 11-time NBA All-Star, 4-time NBA scoring champion, the 2000-01 MVP, and member of the 75th Anniversary Team.
No matter who your favorite player is and which team you support, you have to acknowledge that Iverson is definitely a player unlike many others.
Making History
When you look at Iverson’s career stats, you can’t help but be impressed.
His career average was 26.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists.
An average of 26 points a game for an entire career is incredible but that’s the type of player The Answer was.
Beyond his point totals, he had a play style that was smooth, entertaining, and charismatic.
There are more than a few players who got sucked into the NBA by watching Iverson and his personality on the floor.
Not only that, he was a fashion icon at the time too, and influenced quite a few players – and musicians – with what he wore.
All in all, Iverson was one of those rare, larger-than-life talents that had an impact both on and off the floor.
Iverson might not be as much of a household name as Kobe Bryant or Larry Bird but he affected the league in some tremendous ways.
In fact, it would be hard to find any modern player who didn’t grow up loving Iverson.
There’s a reason that NBA experts and athletes both consider Iverson to be one of the best: because he was.
