Since his retirement and heartbreaking passing, Kobe Bryant has transcended the ranks of NBA history to not only be considered one of the greatest Los Angeles Lakers ever but also one of the most talented basketball players of all time.
Bryant’s success on the court speaks for itself with multiple rings and a slew of trophies and a place in the Hall of Fame.
But that only tells half the story of why Bryant was and is so special.

August 24 is known as Kobe Day or Mamba Day across the NBA because his jersey numbers were both 8 and 24.
It is now a chance to look back at Bryant’s life and career.
The NBA released a wonderful sizzle reel of Bryant’s iconic time in the league, filled with incredible plays, championship moments, and unparalleled skill.
There is no better way to celebrate the Black Mamba.
KB24 Forever
Few people have been as successful as Bryant.
He is a Hall of Famer, an 18-time All-Star and 4-time MVP in those games, a 2-time scoring champion, 15-time All-NBA, 2-time Finals MVP, and 5-time champion.
Oh, he also won an Academy Award too.
His career average was 25 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists.
Bryant was a terrific player, no one can deny that.
And he did it all with this sort of in-your-face, fearless drive that is rarely seen in the NBA or any other sports league.
If he wanted to get something done, Bryant would not rest until he poured 110% of himself into the task at hand.
Years later, most people don’t talk about the rings or the point average, they talk about the sort of personality that Bryant had.
He was more than just a great basketball player.
