LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets has accomplished so much during his two years in the NBA.
The young man has already been named on the All-Rookie team, an All-Star, and was the 2020-21 Rookie of the Year.
He’s also become the centerpiece of the Hornets and is now its most treasured, valuable star.
Ball has done all of this in two years and before the age of 21.

That’s right, Ball is just now turning 21, meaning that he’s done all of these incredible things before he was even legally able to drink alcohol!
Not that Ball will be doing a whole of drinking and celebrating for his birthday – the guy is always laser-focused on his career and his team.
A Rising Star
Ball got off to a great start in the league, scoring more than 15 points a game and averaging about 6 rebounds and assists too.
Some people thought that Ball wouldn’t live up to his hype but he certainly did and handily earned his Rookie of the Year award.
Ball experienced a fairly serious injury during his first year with the Hornets but he made a miraculous recovery and comeback in record time.
He has turned the team into a very exciting, scrappy young squad that wants to fight for a spot in the playoffs.
However, the team is not quite ready for that big stage – yet.
They have repeatedly come up short and missed the playoffs.
There is no doubt that the Hornets are much better than they were – mostly due to Ball – but it might be a couple more seasons before they are sitting towards the top of the Eastern Conference.
Regardless, Ball should be celebrating his birthday and his awesome career today.
