The NBA regular season is winding down and coming to an end and that means that the MVP race is heating up.
In just a few weeks, media members will begin voting on who is the most valuable player in the league for 2022.
There are a lot of names being tossed around and speculation is growing about who will eventually take the crown.
However, some names stand out more than others.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone to hear that Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks are vying for the top spot.
However, some other names floating around show just how competitive this race really is.
Frenetic Finish
The race for NBA MVP isn’t just about who will take the top honors.
While the biggest question is definitely who will be crowned MVP, it’s important to note who is in the running for the second, third, and fourth place too.
It’s a great way to get a snapshot of the league and see who is making the most noise.
Right now, Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, and Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns are all battling it out for the fourth spot.
That shows just how impressive these players are and how wild the league has been all year.
Tatum and Doncic have especially gotten hot over the last couple of months and are now playing at the best of their abilities.
They could easily surpass Morant in the final tally.
As for the top spot, Jokic has a narrow path to victory but you can’t count out Embiid or Antetokounmpo.
The next few weeks have a lot riding on them and will definitely determine this intense MVP race.
