Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans is celebrating his 22nd birthday: and he has about 193 million reasons to be happy.
The former number one draft pick just signed a gigantic five-year, $193 million maximum rookie extension with New Orleans, meaning he is sticking around in the Big Easy for the foreseeable future.
Better yet, he’s about to come back from a year-long absence due to injury and rehabilitation.

The NBA officially wished Williamson a happy birthday on its main Twitter account and his fans were quick to send their good wishes.
Everyone has high hopes for Williamson in the months ahead because he’s got a lot of people to prove wrong.
Coming Back Bigger Than Ever
The last year has been…a lot for Williamson.
To recap: rumors said he was super unhappy in New Orleans, had rocketed up to 300 pounds, wasn’t ever coming back to the league, was detached from his teammates, and more.
Yes, it’s been a whirlwind 12 months for Williamson.
But lately, things have seemed incredibly positive: Williamson looks downright ripped, he’s been a major part of his team, he seems happy to be on board and, best of all, his foot has healed.
With all the trash that’s been talked about him lately, you can bet that Williamson has a chip on his shoulder and is ready to come back and shut some people down.
We might be on the verge of seeing Williamson’s revenge tour.
It’s been so long since he’s played so you might have forgotten just how impressive Williamson was on the court; at times he looked like a force of nature.
The league is about to meet Williamson all over again and the young man is ready to leave an impression.
