Watching the New York Mets is an experience that goes beyond baseball.
The organization has gone out of their way to make games something that fans will want to go to, something beyond baseball itself.
Music shows, cool entrance songs, promo days, special nights; you name it and the Mets probably have it.
Now, they have reportedly set their sights into bringing in New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers to Citi Field to throw out a ceremonial first pitch before a game.

A sizable percentage of Mets fans are also Jets supporters.
It has been that way historically.
The Jets officially acquired Rodgers, the longtime signal-caller of the Green Bay Packers, on April 24.
To do that, they made a sizable investment: In addition to the player, the Jets got the No. 15 overall pick and a fifth-rounder, but had to part with the 13th, 42nd, and 207th selections in the 2023 draft and a conditional 2024 second that would become a first if Rodgers plays more than 65 percent of the offensive snaps this upcoming season.
He is seen as the missing piece in an otherwise solid Jets roster that underachieved last year amid mediocre quarterback play.
It will surely be cool for Mets fans that go to Citi Field to watch the new Jets quarterback throw a ceremonial first pitch.
Even if he played for another team, Rodgers is a global sports figure who will surely pique the fans’ interest.
It remains to be seen if the player is willing to do it, but it could be a cool moment in the Mets’ 2023 season.
