Throughout the 2022-23 season, one of the biggest problems for the Dallas Mavericks has been that they can’t seem to win without Luka Doncic.
When Doncic is hurt, the team loses.
But just days after a monster trade that is going to change the future of the team, the Mavericks did the seemingly impossible.

On Monday night, the Mavs took down the Utah Jazz with a strong 124-111 defeat.
Multiple stars for the team stepped up to achieve the win, most specifically Josh Green who landed 29 points.
Jaden Hardy also notched 29 off the bench, giving many fans their first taste of the rookie shooting guard.
Tim Hardaway Jr. and Reggie Bullock were also a huge help to their team, scoring 17 and 13, respectively.
The victory was important for Dallas because it finally showed that they can survive without Doncic on the roster.
It also comes just two days before they will be joined by their new star, Kyrie Irving, who was traded to the team over the weekend.
Irving is obviously going to give the Mavericks a major boost and he will assure that more victories without Doncic will be possible.
Still, you can bet that fans will pay much more attention to the rest of the team, especially Green and Hardy.
After Monday’s win, the Mavs are now the fifth team in the West with a 29-26 record.
They are aiming to climb even higher in the standings and the addition of Irving can help them with that.
It might be some time before we see Irving and Doncic on the floor together.
But Monday night showed that greatness for the Mavericks is still possible without them.
