A lot of attention is being paid to the Dallas Mavericks right now as the NBA trade deadline creeps ever closer.
We are less than two weeks away from the deadline and everyone is wondering if the Mavs will do anything to improve their roster.
The question got even bigger after Luka Doncic reportedly pleaded his case with the front office to shake things up and do something to help him out.

Although the roster is at times lacking, there are quite a few role players who could generate interest in the trade market.
It is being reported that the team is open to the idea of moving Dorian Finney-Smith, a forward who is currently in his seventh season with the Mavericks.
So far this season, he is producing 8.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists.
He is a starter for the Mavericks, meaning he is one of the most important players on their books and Dallas will likely want to be compensated in a big way for him.
While Finney-Smith might not be enough to land an All-Star in return, he could be part of a package deal that gets them an A-list talent.
Don’t be shocked if Finney-Smith is sent away alongside someone like Reggie Bullock or even Christian Wood.
We are going to know a lot more about the team’s future in the next couple of weeks.
If they try to do something big before the deadline, we will see that they have listened to Doncic and are trying to make a strong playoff run.
If they don’t, we can assume they are waiting for the offseason and hoping that this season just gets better in the months ahead.
