The Orlando Magic were taken down by the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night but they still showed a lot of fight during that loss.
For a team like the Magic, who had a 1-5 record going into Sunday night’s match, it wasn’t necessarily about winning but instead nurturing the young roster they have.

The Magic are trying to lay the groundwork for the future right now, attempting to build a team that will have great promise in the future.
7-foot-2 forward Bol Bol might be a part of that future.
He started for the second time this season on Sunday night and made every moment count.
The big man scored 16 points, and 11 rebounds, along with 3 blocks.
He had a 70% field goal percentage in just 29 minutes.
This is part of a huge Bol resurgence that seemed unlikely just a few months ago.
Bol Bol Bouncing Back
Bol has been in the league for four seasons now but he hasn’t found the sort of success that you’d think a man of his size would have.
While signed to the Denver Nuggets, he rarely played more than 30 games in a season and hardly ever broke more than 5 points a game.
So far this season, he is scoring 10.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks a game with the Magic.
It looks like Bol is finally playing as fans wanted and has perhaps found a team that he can really call home.
The Magic are not a championship team yet and are still years away from being at the top of the standings.
This is allowing them to give more time to Bol, letting him play and find his game, and get comfortable with his squad.
