The Detroit Lions defeated the Green Bay Packers during Sunday Night Football last night, demolishing any hope for the Packers to make the playoffs.
Although this was a relatively ugly game for both teams, it was the Lions who ultimately came out on top, even though they were already eliminated from playoff contention themselves.
One of the main reasons they were able to pull off this victory was the masterful decison-making of head coach Dan Campbell.

After nearly getting tackled for a five to six-yard loss, Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown pitched the ball to D’Andre Swift, who not only got the ball past the line of scrimmage but nearly got a first down on this trick play.
The Lions ended their season with a record of 9-8, and, although they were unable to make the playoffs, showed the world that they are not the same old Lions, and are here to compete in this league.
Their record of 9-8 is the first time that they have been over .500 since 2017, and they will look to build on their success in 2023.
Due to their trade of Matt Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams, the Lions will have the sixth overall pick in the draft, but will also pick 18th due to their season standings.
Overall, the Lions have a solid defensive front and a myriad of offensive weapons that they will have in 2023.
What direction will they decide to go in the draft?
