The Detroit Lions finished the 2021 regular season ranked 25th in points per game at 19.1.
They were also ranked 18th in passing yards (211.6 per game) and 19th in rushing yards (110.9 per game).
But what a difference one year has made for head coach Dan Campbell and his crew.

NFL on CBS shared that the Lions have the second-highest average points per game at 31.7.
The Baltimore Ravens top the list after Week 3 at 33 points per game, while the Buffalo Bills are third with 30.3.
The Kansas City Chiefs complete the top four with 29.3 points per game.
Rounding up the top five are the Philadelphia Eagles with 28.7 points per game.
The Lions are also third in total yards (409) and 16th in passing yards (238.7) per game.
However, their run game featuring D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams is third in the league with 170.3 yards per game.
Unfortunately, the Lions have won just one of their first three games despite their high-powered offense.
Both defeats could have gone their way, though, because they lost by a combined margin of seven points.
Detroit dropped their season opener to the Eagles, 38-35.
In Week 3, they lost to the Minnesota Vikings, 28-24.
Bringing The Hard Knocks On Offense
Through three weeks, quarterback Jared Goff has completed 58.9 percent of his passes for 748 yards, seven touchdowns, and only two interceptions.
Meanwhile, Swift leads the ground attack with 231 rushing yards, while Williams added 168.
Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds are their top receivers with 253 and 162 yards, respectively.
The Lions will try to improve their record to 2-2 with a victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4.
However, they will need help from their defense to make that result happen.
The Lions allow a league-worst 31 points per game and are ranked 29th in total yards surrendered with 408 per game.
