How would you describe the season for the Los Angeles Lakers so far?
Would say it’s going poorly, very poorly, or painfully poorly?
No one is going to say the Lakers are doing well and their 0-3 record confirms that.
It’s not just that the Lakers have been defeated during their first three games, it’s that they have looked completely lost on the floor most of the time.
Even with high output from LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and promising upstarts like Lonnie Walker IV, the Lakers are downright dismal.
And there isn’t much chance of that changing.

There is a lot of talk about LA trading for just about anyone in the league.
It’s clear that the team has many problems, including the lackluster shooting of Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook isn’t the only issue plaguing the team but he’s certainly not making things any better and it is obvious that the Lakers are ready to send him away.
The latest rumor says that they are thinking of trading for Terry Rozier of the Charlotte Hornets.
Rozier would solve some of their problems, perhaps.
But they are still nowhere near where they need to be.
Scary Terry
Rozier’s current three-point percentage is 40% which is light years ahead of the Lakers’ 21.2%.
On paper, this trade looks like it would at least help the Lakers where they hurt most.
But Rozier is just one man and he can’t fill every void LA has – and there are plenty from shot selection to speed to a thin bench.
Even if Westbrook leaves and Rozier comes in his place, the Lakers are still playing just as poorly as they were last year.
They will all need to hunker down (yes, even James), tweak their games, and change direction if they wish to get remotely close to the playoffs this season.
