The Los Angeles Lakers will face off against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night and are hoping to pull out their very first victory in 2022-23.
But they might be doing it without one of their most controversial stars.

It is being reported that Russell Westbrook is doubtful to play against the Nuggets due to a hamstring injury that has been bothering him on and off for a few weeks.
Westbrook did in fact travel with the Lakers to Denver for the game but he is still listed as a possible no-show for the game.
If he doesn’t play, you can expect to hear a lot from the fans,
He will gain both support and disdain no matter what happens.
With Or Without Westbrook
If Westbrook sits out of the game and the Lakers win, fans will point to his absence and say that it proves he needs to be traded.
If Westbrook sits out of the game and the Lakers lose, others will say that he clearly isn’t the problem holding the team back.
No matter what happens, Westbrook is going to receive flak from some and praise from others.
Those who want to trade Westbrook know he’s not the only problem with the team but they also feel that it’s time he moves along and gets replaced by someone – anyone – who can assist with LA’s atrocious shooting.
In many ways, Wednesday’s game will be a test to learn how the team does without Westbrook.
You can expect every NBA fan to be paying close attention to the Lakers and Nuggets to see how the squad performs without their most criticized star.
