The Orlando Magic agreed to trade Mo Bamba to the Lakers for Patrick Beverley, a future second-round pick, and cash considerations, according to Tim Reynolds.
It is worth noting that the Magic don’t currently plan on playing Beverley, which means the controversial guard might be waived or bought out.
There is growing speculation that Beverley could end up back with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team he left for the Lakers just months ago.
In just the span of a few hours, the Lakers’ roster has changed in some stunning ways.
They have added players such as D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and now Bamba as well.
This comes just a short time after they acquired Rui Hachimura too.
The team is obviously looking to improve on both ends of the court and especially when it comes to their size.
Will this be the boost the team requires to actually make not only the play-in tournament but the playoffs too?
Beverley has played with a lot of enthusiasm and spirit during his time with the Lakers but he has disappointed fans and obviously the front office too.
As for Bamba, he has been loved by Magic fans and is known for his strong field goal percentage and his impressive size and stamina.
He puts up 7.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
The Lakers are surely very excited to see what he can do at Crypto.com Arena.
