Hours after taking part in a truly embarrassing pass attempt, DeAndre Jordan is no longer part of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The news was announced on Monday with claims that the Lakers are waiving Jordan and planning to sign free agent DJ Augustin.

While it certainly wasn’t the cause of the waiving, Jordan made headlines on Sunday when he whiffed on an attempt to pass the ball downcourt to his teammate.
That moment was just one of many painful ones for the Lakers, who were taken down by the New Orleans Pelicans at home.
Jordan signed with the Lakers last summer after spending time with the Brooklyn Nets.
Although his time with the Lakers has come to an end, he will find a new home soon.
Additionally, the team’s decision to pursue Augustin says a lot about their future plans.
DJ For DJ
It’ll be out with one DJ and in with another for the Lakers.
Now that Jordan is being waived, the team is planning to sign Augustin in his place.
Augustin is not much like Jordan, he is much more of a ball-handler and shooter.
This season for the Houston Rockets, Augustin has sank 40.6 percent of his three-pointers.
As pointed out, the Lakers see Augustin as a back-up player to help out Russell Westbrook who was supposed so be the perimeter force for the team this year.
By signing Augustin, it seems apparent that the Lakers are going to likely focus on improving their shooting rather than beefing up their presence in the paint.
At this point, Lakers fans are willing for the team to try anything as long as it results in some more victories.
