The Los Angeles Lakers were so close to victory on Monday night, securing a big 17-point lead over the Indiana Pacers.
But this is the Lakers we are talking about and they always find a way to secure defeat.
In the end, the Pacers put the Lakers away with a jaw-dropping shot in the final seconds, breaking the hearts of all LA fans and giving them a 7-12 record.

But it wasn’t all bad news.
There were many great moments and looks coming from the Lakers, including one that featured both LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
It started with James attempting a three-pointer but that didn’t land.
Troy Brown then rebounded the ball and passed it back to James, who was making his way into the paint.
But instead of going for the lay-up or dunk, James tossed it down to Anthony Davis, who jammed the ball through the bucket.
It was a great play that showed true teamwork and chemistry.
This is what fans want to see more of.
Lakers Lose Again
It really was one of the most painful losses of the season for the Lakers because they were doing so well for much of the game and victory seemed at hand.
Head coach Darvin Ham should take responsibility for the loss, as should James, who was lacking a lot toward the end of the game.
The Lakers have been playing much better lately but it’s clear their problems still persist and might for some time.
The latest rumors from inside the team say that the Lakers are content to sit tight and not make any major changes soon.
But will they reconsider that after Monday night’s huge loss?
