The Los Angeles Lakers have had one of the worst starts of a season in their history.
They have been playing horribly by missing good shots – actually, missing most shots – not defending well, and playing a confused, clunky game on both ends of the court.
Because of all that, the team entered Sunday night with a painful 0-5 record.
Thankfully, they changed that to 1-5 by the end of the night.

The Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night, which had every player elated and relieved.
It also left head coach Darvin Ham soaking wet, as he was doused with ice and water by the team following their victory.
Video of the celebration has swept the web and has some people laughing, some people cheering, and everyone wondering what comes next for this team.
Hooray For Ham
The Lakers should definitely be happy with their first win.
However, some people are poking fun at their locker room exhalation, saying it looked more like a team that just won a championship rather than one that is 1-5.
The important thing for the Lakers and their fans is that they carry this energy forward and continue to double down on what worked Sunday night.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis played well, as did the rest of the roster.
Russell Westbrook also stepped up off the bench, which is very encouraging.
The team was also actually taking good shots too and their field goal percentage reached 47.9%.
It was definitely a good night for the team and a hard-earned victory against a quality team.
But the road ahead is still very, very long.
Just because they have won a single game doesn’t mean they are once again playoff contenders.
