There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers want to be very active in the next couple of days before the NBA trade deadline.
Just this weekend, they were working the phones trying to send away a lot in order to land Kyrie Irving.
Of course, that didn’t end up happening and Irving went to Dallas instead.
But even though they are open to many possible trades, there is one target that they won’t listen about.
Several teams have reached out to the Lakers on Anthony Davis, per @AmicoHoops

NBA writer Sam Amico says that there are multiple teams throughout the league who have reached out to the Lakers about Anthony Davis.
Unsurprisingly, “the Lakers are quickly shooting down any such talk.”
Davis is obviously a prized player for the Lakers and the numbers explain why.
So far this season, the eight-time All-Star and three-time block champion is averaging 27.1 points, 12 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
He has missed games due to injuries which is both frustrating and sadly predictable but Davis is perhaps the most important player on the roster.
That says a lot considering he plays alongside LeBron James.
The Lakers are still intent on Davis being the future of the team.
While there are certain trade offers for Davis that the Lakers would entertain, they would have to include some of the biggest players in the league.
In other words, Davis isn’t going anywhere.
Now LA needs to do whatever it must to build a stronger team around Davis and James.
They only have so many assets and so much cap space so a really great trade before Thursday will be tough to pull off.
Despite that, it’s all but assured the Lakers will do something before Thursday’s deadline.
