Even though we are more than a month into free agency we still aren’t entirely positive about how the Los Angeles Lakers will look next season.
The chances of them landing Kyrie Irving grow slimmer and slimmer but it could still happen, which would totally shake up the team.
However, even if Irving never steps foot on the team’s court, the Lakers still could be radically transforming their lineup in the next few weeks.

This is because there are numerous Lakers players from last year that are still free agents.
Guys like Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Avery Bradley, and more are capable of being picked up by another team – or by the Lakers yet again.
That also includes D.J. Augustin, Wayne Ellington, Rajon Rondo, Trevor Ariza, Darren Collison, and Isaiah Thomas.
Any of these players may suit up in purple and gold next season – and a few of them could be hugely important.
New-Look Lakers
The Lakers definitely need some more talent injected into them in the new season.
Even with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and a group of young up-and-comers, LA is lacking.
A few of these free agents – such as Anthony, Howard, Augustin, and Rondo – could really assist the squad in the ways they need it most.
But the team is strapped for cash and still waiting on news about Irving so the path ahead is very murky.
Yet, one thing is clear: LA needs to shake things up, both in the players on the floor and the way they are playing.
If big changes don’t come to every aspect of the Lakers, next season will look a lot like the last.
