Now is not the best time for the New York Knicks to be saying goodbye to players.
The team is in a bit of a tough spot, attempting to assemble a team that can make last season seem like a distant memory.
They will only do that with a full, stacked, deep roster.
That roster might be getting a little smaller.

Cam Reddish, who has only played for 15 games with the Knicks since being traded from the Atlanta Hawks, apparently wants a change of scenery and is looking to get out of New York.
Reddish could be an important part of the team’s future so seeing him go might be painful for the Knicks.
However, if they are able to send Reddish off in a good trade, this might all be worth it.
Rating Reddish
Some people weren’t sure what the Knicks were going to do with Reddish when they acquired him midseason from the Hawks.
Sure enough, he didn’t seem to really fit in head coach Tom Thibodeau’s lineup.
You can’t blame the young man for wanting to be on a team that has a bigger, more substantial, and more important role for him.
We just don’t know which team that will be.
Apparently, the Lakers are interested in acquiring Reddish and could maybe even supply the Knicks with a first-round pick for him.
That would definitely be the sort of trade that the Knicks would listen to.
If the Lakers aren’t involved, there are surely other teams who would be interested in Reddish, who averaged 10.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1 assist during his average 20.7 minutes a game in 2021-22.
Reddish wants a bigger role on a different team – let’s see if he gets it.
