Fans of the New York Knicks are cautiously optimistic right now.
That is because the team has had a fairly decent start to the season so far.
RJ Barrett is easily earning his paycheck, newcomer Jalen Brunson is fitting in just fine, and Julius Randle is putting up more than 21 points a night.
The squad looks much more like the exciting 2020-21 crew than the painful 2021-22 one that followed it.
The Knicks have a 2-0 home record on the season, best start they’ve had in 10 years.
Can they go 3-0 tonight?!? #setthetone

The Knicks now have a 2-0 home record for the season which happens to be their best start in 10 years.
New York will try to make that home record 3-0 on Wednesday night as they take on the better-than-expected Charlotte Hornets.
What do their wins mean for the team and the fanbase that has been so patient?
A Force In The East
The Knicks are hoping to win the Finals this year but they’d honestly just be happy if they could get far into the playoffs again.
That’s because the Eastern Conference is so stacked this year, even reaching that point would be a huge achievement.
The Knicks are really trying to help fans forget last season when the team fell from grace and missed the playoffs entirely after finishing the previous season as the fourth seed in the East.
So far, they are off to a good start, beating both the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons in New York but falling to the Memphis Grizzlies in Tennessee on opening night.
The team still has some kinks to work out but they’re obviously on the right path.
Fans had many fears heading into the new year and, for right now at least, the Knicks have addressed them.
