The New York Knicks are doing better than they did last season but they still have a long way to go to please their loyal fans.
That means that they are one of the many teams who might make big moves before Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
We aren’t sure exactly what the Knicks have in mind but one name is emerging as a frontrunner to be added by the storied franchise.
Knicks have interest in F Josh Hart per @SNYtv @IanBegley

It is being reported that Portland Trail Blazers swingman Josh Hart has generated interest within the Knicks organization.
Hart has been working hard during his time with the Blazers.
He has started in all 51 games and has averaged 9.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists a game.
Hart has been in Portland since last season when he was part of the package that sent CJ McCollum to the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Knicks have been in desperate need of sharp-shooting wingmen who can generate output from the perimeter and Hart could fill that role for them.
His depth could greatly help the team, which is currently seventh in the East with a 30-26 record.
The question is what would New York be willing to give up to get Hart?
In other words, how much is he worth to the team’s plans and future?
There is speculation that young players like Quentin Grimes or Immanuel Quickley could be headed elsewhere in the league before Thursday is over.
Will they make their way to Portland in exchange for Hart?
Or is this just the sort of trade deadline speculation that doesn’t amount to anything?
More importantly, would Hart be the only trade target the Knicks swing for before the deadline?
