Fans of the Sacramento Kings are still in an uproar today because of a controversial call in the final moments of their Monday night game against the Golden State Warriors.
As the match came to an intense close, Kings star Kevin Huerter put up a deft three-point shot.
At the same time, Klay Thompson of the Warriors tried to block Huerter’s shot.
Huerter’s attempt didn’t go in but he and his team claimed that Thompson touched – and therefore fouled – during the play.

If that was true, Huerter would have been entitled to three shots and could have tied the game.
But the refs didn’t make the call, the Kings lost, and they are still understandably very upset.
Today, Huerter has made his opinion known on Twitter, saying, “Only thing we can do at this point is get fined. Zero accountability.”
Meanwhile, De’Aaron Fox posted the play with a simple “LMFAO” and Malik Monk shared his reaction in the form of a laughing emoji.
Obviously, the Kings have Huerter’s back and they agree that he was owed the foul.
Kings Wanting The Call
You can understand why the Kings would be so mad about Monday night.
The team currently has a 3-6 record and is trying hard to break through the bottom of the West and be competitive again for the first time in years.
There has been some speculation that the Kings and their current roster and coaching staff might have what it takes to get back to the playoffs, ending a historic drought.
But they won’t be able to do that if they don’t get every win they can.
Securing a win against the Warriors would have been a huge deal, even though that team is currently struggling too.
This will be a loss that will sting for a while.
