All season long, one of the best NBA stories has been that of the Sacramento Kings.
For years now, the Kings have been lost in the wilderness of the Western Conference, sometimes not even getting close to making the playoffs.
This year, things have changed – in a big, big way.
Following their defeat of the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, the Kings are now 25-18.
The Sacramento Kings have won five straight Games.

That means that they are having their best season in nearly two decades.
It also means that they have won five straight games and are the third seed in the West.
We haven’t seen the Kings perform like this in ages.
In fact, some of the players in the NBA were just babies in diapers the last time Sacramento was playing like this.
The power of De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes, and others has made this team a serious contender in their conference.
And they seem to just get better as the season goes on, adjusting to each other and following the commands of head coach Mike Brown.
The last time the Kings made the playoffs was at the end of the 2005-06 season when they were taken out in the first round.
How far can they go this year?
There were many people who thought that the Kings would have their best season in years, thanks to the new additions and the hiring of Brown.
But few people thought they’d surge all the way to third place.
Breaking through the top two will be incredibly tough as the Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets feel unstoppable right now.
However, there is a chance that the Kings’ royal rise will continue.
