Things didn’t go very well for Collin Sexton on the Cleveland Cavaliers last season.
The talented guard sadly suffered an injury early in the year and ended up playing only 11 games.
During his absence, the team found a lot of success and started to play as if Sexton wasn’t an important part of their lineup.
That led to a lot of speculation about Sexton being traded in the summer.

Sure enough, he was part of the massive deal that sent Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz to Cleveland.
The Jazz are now welcoming their new star, posting a picture of Sexton wearing his new jersey.
The Jazz are in a very peculiar place following the loss of Mitchell and Rudy Gobert – and Sexton could be a huge part of their future.
Sexton In Utah
Sexton is no slouch: his career average is 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
If it weren’t for his injury last year, he probably would have been a very important part of the Cavaliers and their shining regular season.
But now he’s planning ahead and seeing what else waits for him in the NBA.
The Jazz have been mostly dismantled since they lost their two stars so Sexton is now dead center in the rebuilding process.
This means that Utah might not see serious success immediately but, when they do, Sexton will be a central figure.
He is easily one of the top plays in Utah now and he could come into this team, make it his own, and be a leader for this squad.
For fans of Sexton, his trade from Cleveland was bittersweet, but it could eventually work out very well for this star.
