For the last few seasons, it’s been one step forward and two steps back for the Charlotte Hornets.
The team has one of the most exciting young athletes in the league with LaMelo Ball.
There are also some other talented team members playing with fierceness around Ball.
Yet, the team continues to disappoint and fall short of what fans expect.
Take last season, for example, when Charlotte once again failed to make the postseason.

All of this has led to them being overlooked by millions of NBA fanatics as well as the league as a whole.
In fact, now that the Memphis Grizzlies are set to play on December 25, the Hornets are the only franchise that hasn’t played on Christmas Day.
Will this be the year that the Hornets finally prove their worth?
A Lack Of Buzz In Buzz City
It feels like the team is just short of true greatness.
Yes, Ball has been a major boost of energy and spirit for the squad but the squad still requires more.
Whether it be via trade packages or draft picks, the Hornets could still grow in the season or seasons ahead.
When that happens, they may be able to break through the rest of the East and become a team that more people pay attention to.
Until then, it seems like they’ll be the sort of squad that has a lot of promise and potential but a winning record that doesn’t quite match that.
Still, fans are convinced that the Hornets are just about ready to break out and rise through the ranks.
Maybe they will this year or maybe they will come up short once again.
